As well as training courses, we also provide a branch of safety, health and environmental consultancy, specialising in the development and implementation of management systems, and auditing.
Vicki Beatty is a Lead Auditor for ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and BS OHSAS 18001. Vicki is an Associate Auditor for Sira Certification Ltd and has experience of third party auditing on behalf of a UKAS accredited Certification Body.

About Vicki Beatty

“As a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner and experienced environment professional and backed by over 15 years experience in the manufacturing, waste, quarrying, concrete production and construction industries developing and implementing management systems, managing health, safety and environmental risk, advising business and maintaining compliance, Vicki Beatty is expertly placed to advise clients from a variety of sectors in health, safety and environmental issues including sustainability, quality management, CSR issues and general compliance.
“With a BSc (Hons) in Applied and Environmental Geology from the University of Birmingham, Vicki started her career with Hanson Waste Management as an Environment Technician, monitoring and sampling gas, groundwater, surface water and leachate at landfill sites across the south of England.
“Vicki continued on to develop the environment management system for Hanson Waste Management helping them to become one of the first waste companies to gain certification to ISO 14001.
“With experience Vicki progressed to Assistant Environment Manager responsible for a team of technicians and co-ordinating the legally required monitoring and reporting and compliance with permits and environmental data for landfills in the south east of England.
“Following a year working for the Environment Protection Agency in Australia Vicki joined the largest privately owned sand and gravel company in the UK; the Brett Group. In a variety of roles Vicki has developed, the Brett Group Integrated Management System (IMS) and gained certification to ISO 14001, BS OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001, BES 6001 and QSRMC as required across operations including production of ready mixed concrete, quarrying operations, production of asphalt, wharf and railhead operations for the delivery of aggregates by sea, manufacturing of concrete products and also for the construction arm of the Group, Provian Construction and their associated support functions including electrical services and transport/distribution.
“Whilst at the Brett Group Vicki also implemented the Sustainability and KPI reporting system, designing and developing a bespoke system for the management and reporting of KPI data. Vicki also supported the IMS through the development of an electronic incident recording, tracking and management system which was further utilised to record and manage all non-conformance data from audits.
“Vicki also developed a competency assessment and recording system, defined Brett’s approach to the Mining Waste Directive and advised the Group on general health, safety and environmental matters.
“Vicki has gained an NVQ4 in the Management of Occupational Health and safety and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH). Vicki is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (AIEMA).

About Kevin Beatty
BA (Hons), PGCE, MA
“With a degree in Sport and Leisure Management he worked in the health and fitness, cardiac rehabilitation and uniformed public service sector Kevin left to train as a teacher and gained his PGCE from Canterbury Christ Church University. Whilst teaching full time in an Academy and later in a technology school he earned his MA in Teaching and Learning. When Kevin’s last school closed down he decided to leave the schools sector and move into teaching within industry. This practical experience of teaching makes Kevin’s courses more than just lectures or death by powerpoint for delegates, instead sessions are practical, challenging and relevant and the delegates leave with confidence and knowledge in the subject matter and having had some fun along the way.”
